Success Case: E-Learning Platform Development for OICR to Support Environmental Education and Community Engagement
Client: OICR (ECCOSUR – Coordination Spaces for the Rio Conventions)
Project: E-Learning Platform Creation and Awareness Campaign (Goverment Project)
Background:
As part of ECCOSUR’s mission to advance environmental practices, OICR sought to support and encourage local governments in Lavalleja, Maldonado, Rocha, and Treinta y Tres to strengthen environmental management and resilience. This initiative aims to build the capacities of local actors—including civil society organizations and family producers—to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and land degradation through innovative community-driven solutions. Supported by World Bank funding, OICR also focuses on integrating these themes into environmental education.
Objective:
To create an engaging, accessible e-learning platform that raises awareness of the project’s goals while providing dynamic learning experiences to empower local communities and stakeholders.
Target Audience:
Government bodies, civil society organizations, and groups of family producers in Lavalleja, Maldonado, Rocha, and Treinta y Tres.
Strategy and Execution:
We delivered a comprehensive solution that combined strategic branding, educational content, and targeted awareness efforts:
- E-Learning Platform Development: Built a user-friendly, interactive e-learning platform that provides relevant educational content to engage and empower local communities.
- Style Guides and Branding: Created cohesive style guides and brand identity to reinforce ECCOSUR’s mission across all digital and printed materials.
- Content Creation: Developed educational materials to enhance understanding of key environmental challenges and best practices in climate action, biodiversity conservation, and land management.
- Awareness Campaigns and Promotional Flyers: Designed and distributed promotional flyers and launched targeted ad campaigns to increase visibility and drive engagement with the platform.
Results:
The launch of the OICR e-learning platform empowered a range of stakeholders, providing them with practical tools and knowledge to enhance local environmental initiatives. The project successfully raised awareness and fostered a community of informed local leaders equipped to tackle regional environmental challenges. The e-learning platform has become a vital resource in OICR’s mission to support sustainable development across Lavalleja, Maldonado, Rocha, and Treinta y Tres.
